New Wine.

The song speaks of a season when life feels pressed and refined: in the crushing, new wine is formed; in the soil, ground is broken and made ready. It’s in this space of surrender that I’ve learned how small I am and how great God’s work can be. 

When I say, “Make me a vessel,” I’m asking Him to shape me into whatever He desires. I came to Him with little to offer, yet He has poured out grace, guidance, and purpose beyond what I imagined.

Surrender, to me, is more than a moment of prayer—it’s a daily rhythm, a chosen posture for those who want to walk closely with God. 

Some people misunderstand it, thinking that “God is everything to me” means I am nothing. In truth, that realization is the gateway to true dependence: recognizing that my limitation makes room for His power.

This truth became real when I first yielded. There was a time I needed Him the most, and the path He led me on felt unexpected yet profoundly right. The song became a secret I didn’t fully realize I knew—an invitation to trust in ways I hadn’t before.

If you’re listening today, consider this: surrender as your daily prayer. Begin the day by asking Him to make you “new wine” for today—ready to be poured out for His purposes. Offer Him space to guide your steps, and wait with expectancy for the life He wants to cultivate in you.
